The Prayer

Dear gracious heavenly Father, 

I pray a blessing over this blog out of the complete sincerity of my heart. May this blog be about You, not man. May it be used for Your glory and Your glory alone. May You use it as a tool for the building and strengthening of Your Kingdom. I pray that I will die to myself daily so that the motivation behind every post will not be to proclaim my name or my "greatness", but Your Name and Your greatness. I pray that this blog will not be about followers or views or posts. I pray that, through it, You will remind girls of Your grace, love, and continual forgiveness. Remind readers that we are free from the bondage of sin because of what Your Son did on the cross. We are loved not because of the completion of a list of Christian duties, but because You saved us from an empty life of sin. Our righteous acts are filthy rags compared to You, Lord. The only thing we should boast in is the cross. By grace may we live according to Your Word. We love you Lord. May everything we say and do be pleasing You and out of response to the overwhelming mercy You lavish upon each of us.
