And the Bride Wore White
This month a re-read (third time's a charm) has been sitting on my nightstand. And the Bride Wore White is one of my favorite sexual purity books (next to Passion and Purity). Every time I read it, I get something new learn something new based on my current stage in life. Dannah Gresh wonderfully portrays the beauties God-intended sex and the great value behind purity. Purity does not revolve around our virginity but rather our heart. We were all born impure. Purity is not something we can loose. But purity is something we can receive through the the blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus died to purify our hearts. May we act like the valuable, priceless "teacups" Jesus created us to be, not the worthless "styrofoam cups" that are used once then thrown in the trash. May we use our relationships, wardrobe, bodies, attitudes, and desires to glorify God. Make the most of your read by coupling this book with Dannah's companion guide. Work through the guide with yourself, a daughter, some friends, or a small group!{My Media Room}
Pocket Projector

This gadget has been the main show of many movie nights. All you need for a theater-like experience is the Pocket Projector, a blank wall or sheet, the provided cable, and your laptop. The Pocket Projector connects to your laptop and shines your laptop screen onto the wall. You can even adjust the screen's size and clarity. If you love movies as much as I do, you should invest in this mind-blowing invention! My next step is to take it outside....

Pizookie
I would be ashamed to reveal the amount of times I have eaten this (beyond) delicious dessert this month. Possibly 4 times...possibly more than 4 times. It's like a a Cookie that wants to be a Pizza (hence the name, Pizookie, which, to be honest, I just now got--Mind blown). You need to taste this warm and gooey deep dish cookie served on a skillet and topped with vanilla ice-cream. Begin your Pizookie addiction at its birthplace, BJ's restaurant, or in your own kitchen by following this recipe or by watching this video. You can even experiment with different cookie types and ice-cream flavors! .....You're welcome! {My Quiet Place}
Exodus
This month I finished my study on Exodus. I did not expect to learn so much! God revealed Himself to me in brand new ways. It is incredibly eye opening to discover all the ways in which the Old Testament points to the New Testament. The ceremonies, law, sacrifices, and tabernacle pieces are all but shadows of the things to come. Jesus' blood took the place of animal blood. Jesus, the spotless Lamb, consecrated our hearts forever. Now we have complete access to God's presence...no more sacrifices, special dates, or conditions. God writes the law upon the tablets of our hearts. We are transformed from the inside out. Now we, as children of God, are the temple of God! His Holy Spirit dwells inside of us. Just as God filled Moses' tabernacle, so does God's presence fill us up! We are living sacrifices shining forth God's glory. I would encourage you to read through Exodus along with Hebrews. The Old Testament reveals our brokenness through the Old Covenant as well as God's relentless mercy. The New Testament reveals our redemption through the New Covenant as well as God's unconditional love.
Check out this beautiful prayer that walks us through the symbolic tabernacle. It gives us a better understanding of God's sovereign plan.
And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds, then he adds, "I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.” Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin. Hebrews 10:11-18
