Hope's Anthem

My Media Room

Hope's Anthem

 { We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain. Hebrews 6:19 }

The rougher the weather, the more we need an anchor. The harder the trial, the more we need our Savior. The verses that proceed Hebrews 6:19 assure us that God's promises will never fail because He is incapable of lying! He has given us both a covenant and an oath. We are secure in Him because of God's unchanging nature and His ability to ALWAYS keep the promises He lays out in scripture.

We are anchored upward in heaven. Our hope is in the return of Christ to restore the nations. The hope of Jesus will carry us all the way to the presence of the Father. This hope allows us to withstand trials. When destructive storms of suffering or temptation hit us, we will not be shaken because we know that what God says is true. Trials are only temporary. He is always with us. We are more than conquerors through Him. No matter what happens here on earth, we will one day spend eternity in heaven experiencing the fullness of God's glory.

{ "Let thine anchor be cast into that which is within the veil, and see to it that thy soul be linked to the anchor by a cable that will not break."  Spurgeon. }

The anchor of God's promises not only help us stand strong in the midst of life's storms, but it also allows us to move forward. Do not just stand still in trust, but have the faith to put your trust to action. Exercising your faith requires obedience. "Put yourself in a position to see God's best for your life and your faith will soar" (Stanley). Face trials not with the intention of waiting until the rain is gone, but seeing how much your faith can grow by the flood. ❤︎

 { He's awakening the hope in me
By calling forth my destiny
He's breathing life into my soul
I will thirst for Him, and him alone
He has come like the rain
That showers on the barren plain
So my heart and tongue confess
Jesus Christ, the hope of man

My hope is in you, God
I am steadfast, I will not be moved
I'm anchored, never shaken
All my hope is in you

He's bringing hope to the hopeless
And giving his heart to the broken
And sharing his home with the orphan
He is the joy, He is my joy
He is the hope of the nations
The Father's heart we're embracing
He is the song we're declaring
He is the joy, He is my joy. }
